Ligonier Christmas Session, The L Family

I’ve had the privilege of photographing the L family for the past two Christmas seasons, and let me tell you, they are the cutest family around. They have a new addition in their dog Maggie this year and we became fast friends, even if she promptly peed on my shoe in her excitement to see me! The four of us strolled around my hometown, which pretty much looks like the set of a Hallmark movie every holiday season, and captured some lovely Christmas-y portraits. Thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your family’s moments and memories, L Family! Below are some of my favorites!

National Gallery of Art, Washington D.C. Engagement Session

When I realized that Lisa and Oliver lived in Washington D.C., despite the Pittsburgh PA wedding and celebration they're planning for later this fall, I jumped at the chance to head to D.C. to photograph their engagement session.  Our plans got waylaid.. twice.  The session was first scheduled in the spring but needed to be rescheduled when we realized the Pittsburgh Penguins (go figure!) would be in D.C. to play the Capitals in the playoffs.  We rescheduled for mid summer in hopes of lovely warm weather and lots of wandering around monuments.  When the weekend planned called for torrential downpours instead, Lisa and Oli didn't let that get them down and instead decided we'd move indoors to the National Gallery of Art - and I am so glad we did!  It may have been raining buckets outside, but we were cozy and able to take our time strolling through the galleries and getting some awesome shots among the artwork and architecture.

Thanks so much you two for letting me capture these for you!  It was so fun and I'm excited for October!
