Taylor & Rob, Highland Park Session

I met Taylor and Rob on the 6th of June to commemorate what should have been the day of their wedding. Like so many other couples, they made the difficult decision to move their wedding date to next year because of the uncertainty of Covid-19. This was not a decision they made lightly and while they were of course disappointed to not get married this day, they were full of nothing but love and smiles during our time together. We strolled around Highland Park in Pittsburgh, Taylor and Rob had their own ‘first dance’ and I let them just be together and know that while they may have to wait a little longer, the day will be all the sweeter when it finally arrives because of their patience.

To any other couples out there who may have made the difficult decision to postpone, I highly encourage a session on your original day to help you remember this important date and remind you that your love is not cancelled. It will continue to grow as you rely on each other during any set back sent your way. Hugs and love friends! xoxo

Duquesne Club Wedding, Jessica and Zach

Jess and Zach have been together for quite some time but it wasn’t long into their relationship that they realized this was the person they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together. They both love dinners out in Pittsburgh, traveling and bingeing crime shows together. They also have one of the cutest proposal stories I’ve ever heard. Zach asked Jess to dress up for a night out on the town and while she was getting ready, he “went to do some laundry”.. and never returned. He left a note for her in their room and sent her on a scavenger hunt, which led to her final destination - Zach, on one knee inside a heart of rose petals asking for her hand. Fellas, if that doesn’t set the bar high, I don’t know what will. ;-)

The two of them were married on a beautiful February day at the stunning First Presbyterian Church of Pittsburgh with their reception following across the street at the Duquesne Club. Jess looked absolutely stunning in her long sleeved dress from Demetrios and I’ve never seen a groom’s jaw actually drop before! Jess and Zach are incredibly warm and genuine and clearly have a lot of love, respect and admiration for each other. Everyone who took part in this wedding was just full of smiles (and a few happy tears) all day long.

To say I enjoyed myself and creating these pictures is an understatement. And so with that I have created an extra long wedding photo post to share so many of my favorite moments and images from the day! I hope you’ll take a peek! xoxo

Special thanks to Katie for helping to second shoot this wedding, some of her images are mixed in above. And an extra thanks to all the rest of the vendor team that made this wedding as beautiful as possible!
