Wedding Day

National Aviary, Pittsburgh Wedding, Bella and Liam

Liam and Bella exchanged vows at the beautiful St. Pauls Cathedral in Pittsburgh last March. While we planned for many portraits on the Carnegie Mellon steps, it ended up being a really chilly day so we quickly photographed as much as we could in Oakland and then continued the celebrations at the National Aviary. Thankfully the Aviary offers amazing opportunities for stunning photographs while staying comfy inside. We visited with the flamingos and penguins and then partied the night away on the dance floor (Grandma, especially, had a blast and was a hit!).

I first met Bella (& Liam) when I photographed her sister’s wedding in 2023 and I am always so so honored to be invited back to a family’s special moments. The day felt more like a family reunion for me than a job and I simply adored working with these two. In honor of their upcoming one year anniversary, I wanted to share some of my favorite images from the day!

Many thanks to Susie for helping me photograph this wedding and many thanks to these other vendors for their collaboartion on the day!

Noah's Event Center, Erika and Zac

I have so many feels for this wedding. I first met Erika and Zac for their engagement session in the Strip District about a year before their wedding. We laughed, they were adorable with each other and I knew theirs was a wedding I couldn’t wait to photograph. And let me tell you, it was one of my favorite days. Not only were they both so easy going and we got some amazing photographs, but I also just had so much fun.

Zac rushed in to kiss Erika before they were officially pronounced and he was asked to, they danced and popped champagne as soon as they made it down the aisle, Erika surprised Zac with Twin Peaks cookie cakes (in lieu of a traditional wedding cake). And they were inseparable the entire night. I’m not kidding, they held hands through almost every minute of their reception (my favorite moment being, of course, when Zac serenaded his bride to My Chick Bad - which I can also tell you I will never look at these photos and not start singing that song in my head. It’s my jam now and I edit & work out to it constantly, thanks guys! haha). Their family and friends danced all night and it was all just so dang happy and fun. This is what your wedding day should be. I wish all of my future couples a day as special as Erika’s and Zac’s. So thank you both so much for letting me be a part of your day, it was truly an honor and I am wayy oversharing in this blog post because I just can’t help myself. Enjoy!

Special thanks to Kelsey for second shooting this day with me and to all of the vendors below who made this wedding so magical!
